Football : Ivorian international Drogba to stay on the sidelines after another serious injury

Chelsea and Ivorian international, Didier Drogba picked up a serious injury in yesterdays champions league game against club Cluj of Romania. The Ivorian striker damaged his knee as he stretched to meet a wicked low cross from French Florent Malouda, under pressure from Andre Souza. It was Drogba’s first Champions league appearance after seeing red in Moscow against Manchester united in last years finals. It is still unsure how long he will be on the sideline but the Chelsea medical staff are determined to get him back on Scolari’s selection list. Drogba who is a key force in Chelsea will be hoping to get over his injury woes and savor the new season.
