Ghana defeated Gambia 1-0 Sunday evening in the qualifying series for the 16th African Youth Championship, slated for Algeria in 2009. The goal was scored by Abecu Uyesa in the 40 mintue. A fortnight ago, Ghana also defeated Gambia 2-1 in the first leg. Gambia has been eliminated.
