The Ivorian Workers’ Party (PIT) will organise its convention on Saturday in Yamoussoukro (central Côte d’Ivoire) to name its candidate for the Ivorian presidential poll, according to national secretary for Training Mamadou Cissé. The Ivorian presidential election is expected to hold 30 November, but the delays in the implementation of the identification and voters’ registration have caused speculations that the polls could be postponed. The PIT took part in the 1995 and 2000 presidential polls with Pr Francis Wodié as its candidate.
