The national teams of Mali and Algeria drew 1-1 on Tuesday in Rouen, France, in a friendly match being used by both teams to prepare for the last round of the joint qualifiers for the 2010 African Cup of Nations/World Cup. The Malian Eagles scored in the 13th minute through Sheick Tidiane Diabaté before Abdelsalam equalised for the Fennecs in the injury time (94th) . Several key players from the two sides, including Mahamadou Diarra, Frédéric Oumar Kanouté and Mohamed Lamine Sissoko (Mali) as well as Ziani, Bezzaz and Saïfi (Algeria), missed the match.
