Ghana on Sunday beat Nigeria 3- 2 in their first leg, final qualifying match of the newly introduced African Nations Championships (CHAN) played at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra. The winner of the two leg series will qualify for the first finals of the new competition reserved for players in the domestic league, to be held in Cote d’Ivoire in 2009.
