Kenya PM calls on AU to help Zimbabwe despite the callousness of the country’s leadership

Prime Minister Raila Odinga has asked the African Union( AU) Chairman, Jakaya Kikwete to urgently convene an extra-ordinary meeting of member states to discus the Zimbabwe crisis and send a peace keeping African force to the southern African country. Addressing the press in Nairobi Sunday, Raila said Kikwete, who is also the Pres ident of Tanzania, should act fast and stop the suffering in Zimbabwe in which s c ores of people have died from a cholera outbreak. Raila said it was wrong for African states to continue staying aloof while people die of preventable diseases in Zimbabwe due to the callousness of the current leadership.
