Attempted assassination of Air Marshall Shiri of Zimbabwe criticised as a plot by the gov’t

Air Marshall Shiri of Zimbabwe has allegedly been wounded in an assassination attempt. Feared and accused for the killing of about 20,000 people in Matabeleland during the 80s as well as being the brain behind the election violence, Perence Shiri has been a longstanding ally to Mugabe. The claim has been widely criticized as being part of Mugabe’s government scheme to declare a state of emergency in the country. This comes shortly after Zimbabwe accused Botswana of training people to overthrow Mugabe’s government.
