A French lawyer, Thierry Lévy, who was expected in Gabon, Wednesday, to defend his client, Gregory Ngbwa Mintsa, accused of oral and written propaganda intended to incite an uprising against the government, could not meet his client on Thursday, Gaboneco reports. Moments before boarding the plane bound for Gabon he was told by the French flight police that his visa had been cancelled by the Gabonese authorities for security reasons. Mr. Lévy and Transparency International filed a legal complaint in France last month for embezzlement of public funds against the president of Gabon, Omar Bongo Odimba and his compatriots in Congo and Equatorial Guinea.
