The Gambian police are investigating the mysterious death of a British national, Mr. Jonathan David Pools, whose body was found on Tuesday near the police check point at Denton Bridge in Banjul. Sources said on Wednesday that Mr. Pools, who was living in a boat at Denton Bridge, was last seen a week ago, and when members of the public discovered that the boat was floating without him, they reported the matter to the police. Police Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police Sulayman Secka, has confirmed the discovery of the body.
