Japan joins the fight against piracy in the Gulf of Aden

Japan, wednesday, ordered its navy to get ready for an eventual deployment to Somalia to protect Japanese vessels and citizens from the reach of Somali pirates, Xinhua reported. Japanese minister of defense was reported as saying that piracy in Gulf of Aden and off the coast of Somalia is a threat to the international community including Japan and an “urgent action” is needed.
