Roy Bennet goes to Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe’s palace

Roy Bennett, — a member of MDC-Tsvangirai, who was arrested and charged with treason last Friday before the charges were dropped to security offences — was Thursday invited to Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe’s palace. Roy Bennet who is his party’s nominee for the post of Deputy Minister of Agriculture in the country’s new coalition government which includes the opposition is expected to be sworn in as deputy minister. Confirming the story, Mugabe’s secretary said in a radio announcement that Bennett together with other officials expected to be sworn in to various government positions should go to State House later Thursday.
