Peacekeepers killed and several others wounded in Somali suicide attack

A suicide bomb attack carried out by the al-Shabab group in Somalia, yesterday, killed 11 Burundian peacekeepers from the African Union. 15 others were reported wounded. Meanwhile, Jean Ping, African Union chief, has condemned the act as a complete disregard for lasting peace. Al-Shebab has stepped up hostilities against peacekeepers after the withdrawal of Ethiopian troops from Somalia, a month ago.
