A thirty-year old British of Ethiopian descent, Binyam Mohamed, arrested in 2002 in Pakistan in connection with a suspected “dirty” bomb plot against the United States, is set to arrive, Monday, in the UK. After spending more than four years at the US detention facility in Cuba, Guantanamo Bay, charges against Mr. Binyam Mohamed were dropped last year but he was not immediately released. According to the BBC, Binyam Mohamed had said that he had been tortured into admitting the US terror claims. Binyam Mohamed is also reported to have embarked on a hunger strike at the beginning of the year.
