Somali rebels nearing Ethiopia

The town of Hodur, about 300 km away from north-east Mogadishu, close to the Ethiopian border, has fallen into the hands of the malicious shebab rebels, an islamist group with connections to Al-Qaeda, the BBC reported Thursday. According to the report, some 20 persons were killed in the offensive. The islamist group now controls a large part of the southern parts of the Sudanese territory. This includes, the ports of Kismayo and Merka.
