Algeria: Al-Qaaeda north Africa claims responsibilty for attacks

Al-Qaeda in Islamic North Africa, Thursday claimed responsibility for a bomb attack that claimed the lives of nine security agents in Algeria on Sunday 22 February, Nouvelle Observateur has announced. Security agents working at sonelgaz, the national energy company, were attacked at their base located in Jijel, 350km east of Algiers, the capital. The terrorist group claims to have killed 47 persons in their operations.
