Zimbabwe: Mugabe attacks white farmers again

In a backdrop of famine and health crisis in Zimbabwe, President Robert Mugabe, who Saturday celebrated his 85th birthday in grand style, called on the last white farmers to leave the country, the Nouvel Observateur reported. According to the octogenarian, the remaining white farmers must leave their farms because they are not welcome in Zimbabwe. The remaining farmers left in the country have been fighting Mugabe’s government’s pressure to give up their farms. Last year, a tribunal declared that 78% of white Zimbabwean farmers could keep their farms, indicating that the Mugabe’s government’s land repossession was racially motivated.
