Kenya: President Mwai Kibaki denies rumours surrounding the existence of a second wife

Mwai Kibaki does not like hearsay when it concerns his private life. The Kenyan president, Tuesday, organised a press conference to deny rumours, through a parliamentarian, surrounding the existence of a hidden second wife, RTBF reports. He also threatened to pursue those who say claim that he has another wife besides “Lucy” his wife. In 2007, several journalists from a local newspaper, the Weekly Citizen, were arrested for claiming that there was a power struggle between his wife, Lucy Kibaki, and the presumed second wife, Mary Wambui.
