Madagascar: mutiny at a military camp near Antananarivo

Malagasy soldiers started a mutiny in an army camp near Antananarivo, Sunday, the capital of Madagascar, La Tribune de Madagascar reported. They protested against the government’s suppression of rallies led by the President’s opponent, Andry Rajoelina. The rebellion appears to be restricted to the camp and no movement was reported in other military bases around the capital or the rest of the island.
