Vice Admiral Mamy Ranaivoniaro, the defense minister of Madagascar, announced his resignation Tuesday. The decision comes two days after a mutiny in the military camp of Antananarivo, the Malagasy capital. Mr. Ranaivoniarivo was appointed on 9 February after the resignation of Cecilia Manorohant.
