Africa: 25 billion dollars to limit the impact of the global crisis

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has issued a bail out plan of 25 billion dollars to limit the damage of the economic crisis in Africa, Le Monde revealed Wednesday. According to Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the director of IMF, funding requirements would be significantly higher, in a worst case scenario. The IMF says that the “financial tsunami” will severely affect 22 most vulnerable countries, most of them in sub-Saharan Africa.
