The Nyarugenge tribunal in Kigali, Wednesday rejected a request forthe release of Congolese rebel leader Laurent Nkunda. “The request made by the defense of the accused is without merit,” indicated the tribunal. Laurent Nkunda has been held in Rwanda since his arrest on January 22, said Jeune Afrique.
