Colonel Noel Rakotonandrasana, spokesman for Malagasy military insurgents, said on Friday that army tanks were put on alert Thursday night, in strategic barracks. He warned that the tanks could be deployed into action in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, reports Le Nouvel Obs.
