According to the NGO Ecoterra International, a french yacht was captured Saturday in the Indian Ocean by Somali pirates. No confirmation could be obtained from the French naval forces engaged in the Indian Ocean maritime surveillance. Two other french sailboats were hijacked by Somali pirates in the same area in 2008.
