Niger: Former Prime Minister Hama Amadou appears in court April 23

The former Prime Minister of Niger, Hama Amadou, charged with embezzlement of public funds will appear in court April 23, TV5.org reports. In detention since 26 June 2008, Hama Amadou, who is reportedly ill, has asked to be sent abroad for medical treatment.
