Medicins Sans Frontieres workers abducted in Bakool, Somalia

Two Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without borders) workers, a Belgian and a Dutchman, were abducted Sunday by gunmen in southern Somalia, Bakool. According to Michel Peremans, the communications coordinator of MSF Belgium, there are “a lot of concerns for their safety” RFI reported. The drivers of the two kidnapped Europeans have been released. The kidnappers reportedly made an earlier contact seeking an unspecified ransom.
