The IMF appeals to donors to support Zimbabwe

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Tuesday urged donors to support Zimbabwe financially as the country strives to find political and economic solutions. After several years of suspension of relations with Harare, the IMF resumed activities with the country last month. The institution is seeking to encourage and support the efforts of the coalition government, as well as measures recently taken by the Zimbabwean authorities towards the establishment of a credible economic plan.
