The Gabonese President Omar Bongo Ondimba, 74, has decided to temporarily suspend his official duties. In a statement read Wednesday evening on Radio Television Gabonese RTG1, he said his withdrawal was to mourn his late wife, Edith Lucie, whose recent death has”deeply affected” him.
