African academics call for the establishment of a strategy with China

African scholars Monday urged African States to draw a regional or continental strategy to define their relations with China, Africa online has reported. The objective is to avoid imbalance in bilateral relations. The scholars gathered for the presentation of a study by the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) on Afro-Chinese issues, especially in the areas of trade and investment. This meeting comes ahead of the 44th Annual Meeting of the African Development Bank (ADB), scheduled to take place on Wednesday and Thursday in Dakar, the Senegalese capital.
