Several donors signed Monday, in Dakar, a 15 billion-dollar “action plan” covering a period of about two and three years to help Africa, hard hit by the global economic downturn, Senegalese news agency, APS, has announced. This additional aid should be in the form of loans. Organizations that have signed the aid are the African Development Bank (ADB), the Agence Française de Développment (AFD), the European Investment Bank (EIB), Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA), the German Financial Cooperation, The International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation and the World Bank.
