At least two people were killed and five others injured Tuesday in a fight between Islamist radicals and the peacekeeping force of African Union (AMISOM) in Mogadishu, Somalia. “Shebab fighters attacked the Siad Jale military baracks Tuesday evening,” said Abdiasis Omar, a resident. According to Major Bahoku Barigye, spokesman for AMISON, the attacks were not directly aimed at the peace forces but rather a militia (pro-government Islamist) base very close to their camp.
