The world is approaching its first pandemic of the twenty-first century, the World Health Organization (WHO) warned Tuesday. According to the WHO, the A (H1N1) flu virus is beginning to settle outside the American continent, following a discovery, Tuesday, of the first African case identified in Cairo, Egypt. According to the latest assessment of the organization, the virus has infected 18 965 people in 64 countries. It has so far killed 117 people, 103 of which occured in Mexico, where it was first discovered, L’Express has reported.
