Cuba- Namibia: Raul Castro visits Namibia

Raul Castro, Cuban president, arrived in Namibia Sunday for an official visit, Abidjan TV has reported. He met with the current Head of State, Hifikepunye Pohamba, and the first president after independence in 1990, Sam Nujoma. Cuba seeks to strengthen its ties with Namibia. The Central American island provided military assistance to the African state to fight for freedom against the apartheid regime of South Africa.
