The Chinese media have announced the launching of an Arabic channel on Chinese national television, China Central Television (CCTV). CCTV already broadcasts in English, French and Spanish. The channel has been since Saturday available in the Middle East, North Africa and Asia-Pacific. The Communist Chinese state is promoting the country’s image abroad through an international media expansion programme, France24 reported.
