An online petition by fans of Michael Jackson demanding a Nobel Peace Prize award for the late singer has assembled over 15 000 signatures, writes Nouvelobs.com. The signatories of the petition argue that the singer, who died on June 25, worked all his life to improve the lives of children. Unfortunately, the petition has no chance of success. Besides the fact that the Nobel Prize is not not awarded posthumously, only one category of people (MPs, previous laureates and some professors) are allowed to submit nominations.
