Uganda: Opposition rejects electoral commission’s partiality

The main opposition parties in Uganda have petitioned the Constitutional Court, requesting a review of the composition of the electoral commission. According to the opposition, the committee was involved in a massive fraud cover-up during the 2001 and 2006 elections, and should be composed of more impartial persons. The commission was recently re-elected.
