Thousands of internally displaced people who fled clashes in the eastern region of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) have begun returning to their villages, abidjantv.net reports. The returning IDPs number at least 65 000, according to UN Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) in Kinshasa, the source said. This return could be due to the strengthening of security in some areas of North Kivu as well as the re-opening of schools.
