Guinea: Tensions between Guinea and France rise

Captain Moussa Dadis Camara attacked French Foreign Minister today, claiming that former colonial power France denigrates Africa.

Last Sunday, Kouchner underlined the extreme violence, which took place in Conakry on Monday and left over 150 dead and about 1200 injured, according to an NGO.

Following this matter, the French Foreign Minister called for an international intervention, saying it could no longer work with Dadis Camara.

For the Guinean leader, his country is no longer part of France and thus its involvement is degrading and inappropriate.
