Madagascar: End of the political crisis?

After weeks of discussions, Madagascar ‘s political rivals have reached an agreement, states the BBC.

Andry Rajoelina will remain President, despite his opponents claim that the man is a tyrant who misspent public money.

However, under this new arrangement, Rajoelina is forbidden to stand at the next presidential election.

The negotiations also led to the designation of Emmanuel Rakotovahiny as Vice-President, and Eugene Mangalaza as Prime Minister.

Now, the question is… will this new unity in the cabinet be internationally recognized?
