Somali pirates attack wrong target

Five Somali pirates opened fire at a French naval vessel La Somme, thinking it was a cargo ship, USA Today reports. According to Admiral Christophe Prazuck, the pirates attacked around midnight about 450 kilometers off the coast of Somalia. “Once they realized they were facing a ship that was responding and was heading towards them, they stopped shooting and attempted to flee,” he said. The French ship chased and finally captured the suspected pirates who are now in custody.
