According to the African Press Agency, Uganda workers will soon be required to contribute at least 4% of their monthly salaries in order to benefit from a national health insurance scheme, which is currently in preparation. Francis Runumi, who is in charge of the project, told APA that the initiative was taken in 2003. He also affirmed that many researches had been done in the last few years to insure that the system will work once it is put into place.
