Somalia: French Navy hands over pirates

The French Navy handed over five Somali pirates, accused of attacking their vessel La Somme, six days ago, write AFP. The command vessel was operating 450 kilometers off the Somali coast, when the pirates’ mistakenly opened fired at the it, thinking it was a cargo ship. French Naval forces have handed over 51 suspected pirates in the past year to Puntland authorities, in Somalia.
