According to Mail&Guardian, President Mugabe held a cabinet meeting today, Tuesday, despite a boycott by Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai. Tsvangirai left Harare for South Africa to seek help from regional leaders who mediated the fragile power-sharing pact after he cut with Mugabe’s “dishonest and unreliable” camp on Friday. The Prime Minister will then head to Mozambique later today, to meet President Guebuza. Zimbabwe state media reported that Mugabe will not recognize Tsvangirai’s suspension of ties until he is formally informed. “Until the communication is done formally the president has no reason or any grounds to think or know otherwise,” Mugabe’s spokesman, Geoge Charamabas, was quoted as saying.
