Lonmin, the third largest producer of platinum, made a gesture to persuade the miners on striking to return to work after five weeks of social conflict. The British company has proposed Tuesday a premium of 140 euros to its employees over 98 euros salary increase proposed last week. This pay increase was rejected by minors.
