The English rapper is enjoying her third week at the top of the British charts with her single “American Boy” featuring Kanye West. She entered the charts at 72nd place on March 21 and shot to number one dethroning the blond blue eyed soul singer Duffy often compared to Dusty Springfield.
Her collaboration with Kanye West started with a strike of luck as she bumped into him in a restaurant in Los Angeles. The North American rapper was impressed by Estelle’s attitude and took her to meet John Legend who later ended up producing her second album to be released in May 2008: Shine.
Estelle has announced a UK tour this summer to promote her new album according to Canvas Magazine.
