Captain of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Nwankwo Kanu, has arrived at the team’s training camp in Malaga, Spain, to join his colleagues, the local football website Kickoffnigeria reported. Kanu flew in to the camp Tuesday evening from his English club Portsmouth, swelling the ranks of the players already there to more than 22. However, his teammate in the English team, John Utaka, has yet to arrive. German coach Berti Vogts has invited 31 players to the team’s final camping ahead of the 20 January to 10 February Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana. The 61-year-old coach is expected to prune the number down to 23 at the end of the camping. Nigeria is grouped along with Benin, Cote d’Ivoire and Mali in the first round of the competition said Panapress
