Chad: Rebels deny Gov’t claims of talks

Chadian rebels Thursday denied government claims of talks between the two parties contradicting a statement made by Foreign Minister Ahmat Allam-Mi when he told reporters in Brussels after meeting senior European Union officials that the government was negotiating “at this moment” with the rebels. Rebel spokesman Ali Henchi Ordjo responded saying “It is completely untrue. It is absolutely untrue. There are no negotiations. It is a manipulation of information, an attempt to brainwash international opinion,”
