Libyan leader Mouammar Kadhafi on Wednesday held discussions in Sirte on bilateral issues with the former Spanish Premier, Jose Maria Azna. Libyan sources said Col Kadhafi also hosted a luncheon in honour of Aznar who arrived earlier in the day. Aznar was the first Western leader to arrive in Tripoli in September 2003, a few days after United Nations sanctions imposed on Libya were lifted. The two men also met on 15 December in Seville during Col. Kadhafi’s visit to Sp ain, as part of an European tour, during which they discussed issues of security, stability and peace in the Mediterranean. Panapress.
