FESPACO new boss assumes duties

The new director general of the Pan-African Festival of Cinema and Television of Ouagadougou (FESPACO), Michel Ouedraogo, assumed duties Friday. A Journalist by profession, Ouedraogo was until March 2007 director general of Sidwaya Editions, a national company grouping the state-owned daily, Sidiwaya and the Burkina News Agency (AIB). He was also chairman of the commission of public relations of FESPACO, the biggest biennial event of the African cinema. The 21st edition of FESPACO (a nine-day event) is currently on in the Burkinabe capital. Panapress
