The new director general of the Pan-African Festival of Cinema and Television of Ouagadougou (FESPACO), Michel Ouedraogo, assumed duties Friday. A Journalist by profession, Ouedraogo was until March 2007 director general of Sidwaya Editions, a national company grouping the state-owned daily, Sidiwaya and the Burkina News Agency (AIB). He was also chairman of the commission of public relations of FESPACO, the biggest biennial event of the African cinema.
