The Emir of Kuwait, Cheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, arrived Monday for a private visit to Morocco. On hand to welcome the Emir at the Rabat-Salé airport was Prince Moulay Rachid, younger brother of King Mohammed VI, the nation’s second national television channel reported. Both countries have maintained good political and economic relationships. For instance, Kuwait is financing the construction of many motorways in Morocco and this brings the Kuwaiti financial involvement in the North African country to about US$ 1 billion. The last official visit to Morocco by the Cheikh was in January 2007. King Moham med himself had earlier visited Kuwait in 2002. Panapress
