Catholic-Muslim talks have been scheduled to take place between November 4 and 6 this year. The announcement was made after a joint two day meeting between leaders of the religions in the Vatican. Topics slated for the talks are: Love of God, Love of Neighbour; Theological and Spiritual Foundation; Human Dignity and Mutual respect. The idea was born last year after the popes quotation of a 14th century Byzantine Emperors criticism of islam in his Regensburg speech sparked worldwide protests.
